A request yesterday made by the HRD Minister Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to submit their recommendation regarding the NTA NEET and JEE Exam 2020. The HRD Ministry will take a final call on whether to conduct the exams or to postpone them based on the report submitted.

By reviewing all the possibilities the experts panel have submitted a report stating that the NEET UG for medical entrance is scheduled to be held on July 26 and the JEE Main engineering entrance exam is scheduled to be held from July 18 to 23.

Considering the ongoing Covid situation, Students and parents have taken to Twitter demanding the cancellation of the JEE and NEET exam 2020 which had been scheduled on July 2020. Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that NTA has been asked to submit their recommendation regarding the NTA NEET and JEE Exam 2020 by today on the matter.

The HRD Minister have tweeted by saying that the commission have asked to review the current situation comprising of NTA and other experts and to submit their recommendations by today.

As mentioned earlier in the previous blog, we know that the NTA NEET have been scheduled between July 19th to July 23rd. Out of this COVID-19 issues and thereby increase in number of cases day by day, A total of more than 30 lakh students are confused about whether the exams will be held on the scheduled dates. As per the current situation the COVID-19 cases has crossed 6 lakhs.

Students, Parents and other concerned people have taken the issues to Twitter by creating and retweeting the hashtag #RIPNTA, this hashtag has been retweeted for more than 314.8k times in the past 24 hours and by making it one of the top trends in India today.

By taking the ongoing retweets and hashtag into consideration, HRD Minister Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank have tweeted back saying that “Looking at the prevailing circumstances & requests received from students & parents appearing for #JEE & #NEET examinations, a committee consisting of @DG_NTA & other experts has been advised to review the situation & submit its recommendations to @HRDMinistry latest by tomorrow”. “I have understood your concerns and we are trying our best to find a solution for the problem as soon as possible,” said the HRD minister in his statement.

People have also added by saying:

1.)The Government should also think about the children who are appearing for NEET and JEE. We are confused about whether to prepare for the exams or not, and whether all this will be postponed or not.

They have also added that, “We would like to know what the government thinking as sooner as possible”. Hopefully, we will get all the answers today when NTA gives its recommendations for JEE and NEET exams.
